One Lovely Blog Award

Two months into blogging and I receive my second nomination woohoo!! Poppie, a fellow lip-balm hoarder, was kind enough to think of me as one of her nominees. Thanks Poppie. Do a lip-balm collection post so I know which ones to add to my collection 😉

The rules for this award are :

  • Thank the nominator and link them.
  • List the rules and display the award.
  • Add 7 facts about yourself.
  • Nominate 7 other bloggers and let them know via a comment.

So here are the 7 facts about myself :

  1. I love chocolates and I always used to think this isn’t a fact I should say about myself because I mean who doesn’t love chocolates? But I am starting to realise there are certain people whose taste buds aren’t developed for the elite confectionery. And I have suspicions that these are not normal human beings but in fact aliens who have been dropping onto Earth while we have been asleep. Chocolate is heaven. The person whose brilliant idea to mix bitter cocoa and sugar to create this delicious monstrosity should be awarded all types of prizes and awards. Meanwhile the idiotic person whose idea to combine mint and chocolate should be sued and sent to jail for eternity because why would you mix toothpaste and chocolate like bleehh? Readers who love the combo : I apologise for offending you and I shall send you your very own mint flavoured chocolate shortly 🙂
  2. Throughout my primary and secondary years of schooling I have changed 6 schools. One of them was a madarsa (Islamic religious school) where I memorised the whole Quran. Because of this I have heaps of friends from different schools. But because of the short durations I spent at each school (3 years approx. except madarsa where I spent 5 years), we have limited memories of the time spent together and are currently just facebook hi bye friends.
  3. I am a shy person when you meet me at first and you have to interrogate me quite a bit before I open up. I am currently working on it and have recently befriended a girl at my university : Beatriz of the fall post fame..
  4. I am not the type of person who clings to ex-friends (by that I don’t mean we have become enemies or dislike each other but with whom I am no longer in regular contact). I guess changing so many schools does that to you.
  5. I am a sensitive person. I do get offended but I do not show it.Hence people often mistake me to be unfazed by cold hard comments and throw philosophical rocks.I  tend to care for people’s feelings and do my best to not hurt anyone  which results in people taking advantage of it but I wouldn’t do it any other way because I have the Prophet’s and my mum’s example ahead of me.
  6. I am a cheesy person and a comment on my blog by you lovely readers makes my day. I go back and read some comments when I am feeling down and it brightens up my mood so thank you.
  7. I have two brothers Khalid and Mikaeel and we have never fought alhumdulillah contrary to public expectations. Exasperated parents often come up to us and my parents and ask the secret of the unity. My parents’ way of upbringing and the maturity and sacrificial attitude they instilled in us right from the start is the key I guess.

The list of lovely people who I would like to nominate for the One Lovely Blog Award are :

  1. tamtam012013
  2. Tazzie
  3. Soraya Mckenzie
  4. Faziana
  5. Life of an Indian Hijabi
  6. Star of Persia
  7. Abidah

Hope you all had a great weekend.Until next time.

Hahaha now I want to munch on something too.
Oh really? I have recently seen your comments on all blogs that I read and its always a pleasure to get to know a fellow sister so I decided to check your blog out.
Ikr? I guess us girls are sensitive and yes that’s the problem. You show your sensitivity, people ridicule you and if you hide it, they don’t care hurting your feelings.
Ameen and thank you. May Allah protect us from all evils.

Haha yes I indeed comment on EVERY blog I like! That’s why I’m on WordPress you know, get to know sisters from others culture, I just love that really! And at the same time I improve my english everyday (you know, in France, english learning at school is ridiculous! I learnt more from movies than from school! Haha)
Lay Allah bless you my sweet sis! ❤️

      2. You are so sweet. I love and appreciate bloggers who take time out of their busy days to read and comment on posts especially comment because one wants to know if readers enjoyed it, related to it, didn’t like it but most importantly to connect to humans out there. Because of wordpress I have met so many talented wonderful writers and online friends 🙂
And if you can learn English through it, more power to you!!
Your english is fantastic btw masha Allah!!
        May Allah bless you too!!

      3. Thank you sis, I’m improving thanks to you !
        Ameen ❤️
Me too, I discovered so many interesting people on WordPress (my husband begins to be annoyed by all my excitment, if I sudden,y disappear, you will guess that he forbad me from Internet hahaaha)
I wasn’t excepting this but when you think of it, it seems logical that, as reading and writings lovers, we find people similar to us on such a blogging plateform alhamdoulillah. You all are more interesting than my friends in real life haha
May Allah bless you sweet sister ❤️❤️

      4. I am glad to hear that.
Hahahahhahahahha i can relate to your excitement. My mum says the same that she has to ban me from WP because it seems like a full time job instead of studying but really it is so fun and so amazing to meet people who write so well masha Allah and to connect with everyone.
And you hit the nail on the head because even you all are much more interesting than my real life friends and it would be fantastic to get to meet you all.
May Allah bless you too and unite us if not here then in Jannah Ameen

      5. Yesss ikr? It would be. I would hop on to that flight and meet you all. The thing with me is I tend to imagine how a person would look like so I imagine you might look like this based on what you have told me and your personality based on how you write. And it would be awesome to meet in real and see if I was close to my imagination. Am I weird?

      6. Hahaha no you’re not weird at all, I’m totally like you! Or maybe, we’re both weird..
But I think we all can’t help but imagining people so even if the person is better in the real life, You’re deceived that they’re not like we thought. That’s actually why we are often deceived when a book we read is turned into a movie & and characters suddenly have a FACE! Oh my God, I hate that!! Haha

    1. Haha yeah my mum changed heaps of schools when she was a kid because her dad was a government official who kept getting transferred so I guess its in the genes 😉 You get used to not getting attached to one place or people. And you make more friends 🙂

      7. You have no idea how much I miss galaxy here in Australia. Best chocolate ever and you have good taste so I know we are best friends already. Whenever someone comes from Dubai I always ask for Galaxy chocolate. Australia does have high quality tertiary education but it doesnt have high quality chocolate 😢😢

Sometimes I wonder what’s wrong with me because I have to get one every time I go out :/ and I would rather eat chocolate for breakfast, lunch and supper instead of actual food LOL. I crave chocolate when I am happy, sad, upset, content, awake or sleepy hahaha.
